Using V+ and a new networked audio subsystem from eMDee Technology empowers users to build their own DIS voice and networked audio applications. The new networked audio objects utilize Microsoft DirectSoundtm features to provide complete networked audio solutions. This means that any sound card that has a Windows DirectXtm sound driver, such as a SoundBlaster card, will work. This is a significant breakthrough, since traditional systems for this market are costly and based on DSP systems that run on DOS. SimPhonics has delivered several systems based on this newer and less expensive technology, while improving performance and lowering costs of traditional systems
