The Custom Socket I/O driver is a UDP/IP socket interface that is customizable down to the bit level. Customization is done through a standard database format accessible through Open Database Connectivity (ODBC). The structure of the interface is defined using an ODBC-compatible database in the format given in the DATABASE FORMAT section of this document. When the driver is loaded, the user specifies one or more ODBC Data Source Names (DSN) that will be used to define the individual I/O devices. Each device, then, is available in V+ as a set of I/O ports as defined in the database. This is the user manual for this device.
