The SMx system is a quad core i7 based 2U high rack mounted computer with one 1U breakout box. Delivering 8 channels of I/O with better than CD quality of 44.1kHz, 24 bit. It is coupled with a 32 bit WDM streaming driver for better DirectX performance. In other words, while designed for simulation and training with HLA and DIS compliance, the system can also be used as a complete digital audio studio with a mixer console and a recorder built in. This system uses PXE diskless boot and therefore has no hard drive.
Note: This system comes with two USB-6009 data acqusition device and SimPhonics PN: VPLHLA13-MAK3.0.1-X732 which is a software add-on to Vcomm for HLA interoperability.
