VComm Radio Data Monitor | |
ID: 2028 |
Object Description |
|
The VComm Radio Data Monitor object can be used in conjunction with VComm Radio Objects. It is a VComm monitoring object which attaches to a VComm radio so as to observe radio modeling information. To use the object, simply connect the radio handle output of a radio object to the radio handle input of this object. The output pins can be connected to anything accepting floating point input (such as an output port or a No Connection object). |
|
Input Pin |
|
HNDL |
This input pin determines which radio is monitored by this object. This pin should be connected to the radio handle output pin of the radio object to be controlled. |
Output Pins |
|
SIGNAL STRENGTH |
Monitors the signal strength of an incoming transmission. Expressed in deciBel-milliwatts (dBm). |
FREE SPACE LOSS |
Monitors the radio wave propagation loss in free space of an incoming transmission. Expressed in dBm. |
WGS84 LOSS |
Monitors the radio wave propagation loss due to the curvature of the earth of an incoming transmission. Uses the WGS84 earth curvature model. Expressed in dBm. |
TUNER LOSS |
Monitors the loss of signal due to tuner characteristics of an incoming transmission. Expressed in dBm. |
NOISE ABOVE THERMAL |
Provides the noise level above thermal radiation noise level. Expressed in dBm. |
THERMAL NOISE LEVEL |
Provides the thermal radiation noise level. Expressed in dBm. |
Example |
